2018 Nissan LEAF Preorders Jump to 13,000
Expectations that the 2018 Nissan LEAF would be warmly welcomed by consumers have delivered, as more than 13,000 pre-orders for the electric vehicle are confirmed.
The recent announcement came during the Detroit Auto Show, as consumers continue to line up and buy the redesigned vehicle, according to Engadget.
The 2018 Nissan LEAF can go 150 miles on a single charge and features a sleek appearance. Previous critiques of the LEAF focused on the vehicle’s futuristic appearance and lack of range–roughly 100 miles per charge.
The 2018 version is more scaled back and looks more like a traditional hatchback. Its electric engine also churns out 147 horsepower.
ProPilot Assist, Nissan’s semi-autonomous driving technology, also pairs with the 2018 LEAF. The technology that maintains the vehicle in its lane at highway speeds is also available on the Nissan Rogue.
The MSRP is less than $30,000 (before tax credits). The LEAF is built both in Japan and Smyrna, Tennessee.
