Nissan Teases 2018 Leaf
Nissan just offered a glimpse of the 2018 Leaf. Though the image is only of a front headlight, the teaser image shows a sleek design that’s sure to extend to the rest of the vehicle. Kelley Blue Book reports the 2018 Leaf will feature a hatchback and borrows some designs from Nissan’s IDS concept car that was showcased at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
Experts also believe the next-generation leaf will have more range than previous editions.
“It’s safe to assume that Nissan will ensure at least one version of the new Leaf will be able to run somewhere beyond 200 miles on a single charge, and possibly even push the 250 mile benchmark,” writes Bob Nagy of KBB.com.
The Leaf–an electric vehicle that debuted in 2010–is expected to have a V-shaped front grille this time around. In 2016, the compact sedan became the first zero-emission vehicle to feature a 30 kWh battery.
The Leaf will be formally unveiled in September.
