Pavement Repair Project Begins in Folsom

June 26th, 2017 by

Your Nissan will soon ride on some smoother roads in Folsom. The city recently announced crews will fill and repair cracks and potholes on more than 25 miles of roads around town.

“Repairs….will prevent the formation of potholes and other pavement distress,” said Ryan Chance of Folsom’s public works department.

Work will take place during the day and lane closures should be expected between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Folsom-Auburn Road, Folsom Lake Crossing, East Bidwell Street, Iron Point Road, Prairie City Road and Blue Ravine Road are among the streets receiving repairs, officials said.

Remember, traffic fines are doubled in construction zones, so drive carefully in the cone zone.

Impacted residents will be notified at least three days prior to the closures.

The road work is expected to wrap up in mid-July.
