Reminder: Folsom’s Day of Volunteerism is Saturday

Pile into your Nissan and make a difference this weekend.

More than 2,800 people have already signed up to participate in a variety of service projects for Folsom’s fourth annual Community Service Day. But the City of Folsom is still accepting volunteers to participate in the nearly 50 activities there are to choose from.

Here’s a selection of some of them.

  • Citywide Food Drive
  • Military Care Packages and Thank You Cards
  • Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary Landscaping
  • Beautification of Folsom Cordova Unified School District Schools
  • Library Book Cleaning
  • Trash Pick Up on Recreational Trails
  • Community Gardens
  • Folsom History Museum Beautification
  • Landscaping Projects
  • Kids Play Structure Staining
  • LEGO Sorting and Donations
  • Folsom Lake and Lake Natoma Clean-Up

Volunteers must sign up in advance and can do so at

Volunteer check-in takes place at Lakeside Church, located at 745 Oak Avenue Parkway, and most projects occur between 8:30 a.m. and noon on Saturday.
